Joséphine Lanteigne

Josephine Lanteigne, Coteau Road (near Lamèque), N. B., was killed in her home on January 22, 2001, by her former boyfriend whom she had recently broken up with. After killing Josephine, he returned down the road to his own home and turned the shotgun on himself. Josephine’s son and spouse witnessed the tragedy.

 

 

Josephine was a wonderful woman, always happy, smiling and eager to help others. She loved those around her and was much loved in return. She always loved to pull pranks and make jokes, and she knew how to pour on the charm when she wanted to get her way. We called her our alarm clock, because every morning, she made sure that everyone was up at 8 a.m. She took great pride in her appearance and never went out without putting on make-up and doing her hair. She loved children and was a devoted and attentive mother to her own. On her passing, she joined her youngest son, who died after a long illness at the age of 3 years 11 months, as well as her brother.

 

 

We loved her just as she was, and we always will. We will never forget her.
